Thinking about your legacy?

Leaving a meaningful legacy is important to many of us, especially when it supports causes and organizations close to our hearts.

We hope you share this sentiment regarding GRRMF. A variety of planned giving options are at your disposal, offering not only tax advantages but also seamless integration with your estate planning. Consulting with your financial planner or advisor will provide clarity on the most suitable strategies to fulfill your philanthropic and financial aspirations. We trust that the information outlined below will enhance your understanding of the various programs offered and serve as a foundation for conversations with your advisor.

3 Key Options to Consider

  1. Bequest
    • Bequest represents a timeless gesture of generosity, woven into the fabric of a will or living trust. It stands as the most favored form of planned giving, distinguished by its simplicity and cost-free nature during one’s lifetime. Whether establishing a new will or enhancing an existing one, a bequest can be seamlessly integrated through a straightforward amendment known as a codicil, often without necessitating legal counsel. Typically, it specifies a fixed sum or a proportion of an estate, destined for a nonprofit organization, to be bestowed posthumously.
  2. Donor Advised Funds
    • A Donor-Advised Fund serves as a philanthropic vehicle, akin to a dedicated account for charitable giving. When you allocate assets—be it cash, stocks, or other valuables—to such a fund under a public charity’s stewardship, you typically qualify for an immediate tax benefit. These contributions can then be strategically invested, growing tax-free, empowering you to support a wide array of IRS-recognized public charities through recommended grants. DAF Fact Sheet
  3. Qualified Charitable Distributions
    • Optimize Your Giving with an IRA Charitable Rollover: You can contribute up to $100,000 annually from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) directly to qualified nonprofits, enjoying the benefits of a tax-free transfer. It’s crucial to ensure that these funds are sent straight to the charity of your choice, as any prior withdrawal may incur a tax penalty. QCD Fact Sheet

Take a look at our retrievers available for adoption!

Each week we accept additional retrievers into our program who then receive their veterinary checkups and are moved to foster homes for evaluation and to complete any medical treatment they may need before being adopted.
