One post -- because removed by a moderator -- has been a guide describing how to identify and kill RuneScape players in an area of RuneScape commonly used to OSRS gold farm dragons. A good deal of the animosity that's directed toward Venezuelan RuneScape players is coming out of RuneScape players who spend their time at the Revenant Caves situated in the Wilderness, an area where RuneScape players may attack other RuneScape players. The Revenant Caves are pretty popular with Venezuelan gold farmers, who usually play in massive classes or clans to hunt green dragons or fight additional RuneScape players. This, some RuneScape players assert, has made the Revenant Caves"unplayable."

"Rev caves are the one thing that stops me from becoming compassionate towards them," reads one response on Reddit in a RuneScape thread about Venezuelan RuneScape players. "Nothing frustrates me walking in each world and being assaulted by an army of rune crossbows and snake bandanas." "Jagex needs to do something about those Venezuelans," another RuneScape player wrote, adding:"I don't care in their real-life circumstance. They perform RuneScape solely for financial gain and it's ruining the economy. They offer nothing to RuneScape, they do not interact within the community"

Whenever some RuneScape players share stories in their negative connections with Venezuelans, other RuneScape players, like Pip Johnson, aren't as crucial about them. In reality, Johnson sympathises with the situation that Venezuelan RuneScape players have found themselves in, and describes his experience with a single Venezuelan RuneScape player as"the first real experience" he has had with the other RuneScape player online in more than 15 years, after he was talented things and given guidance on the best methods to accelerate. "I really do think that the Venezuelan economy is in shambles is terrible, and I do not blame anybody there for earning money in any manner they can, regardless of any impact it might have on RuneScape," Johnson states.

"Any one of us would do exactly the same." There's an influx of memes on sites like Reddit parodying the situation that Venezuelan RuneScape players have found themselves. Johnson believes that they have become an easy goal in the RuneScape community for people seeking to buy RuneScape gold make cheap jokes at somebody else's expense. "Anonymity brings out the worst in people," Johnson writes. "Some RuneScape players believe Venezuelan RuneScape players are benefiting from RuneScape for individual gain and [that] they shouldn't be," he continues. "There's also a lot of racism in the online gaming community. Since they're so prevalent venezuelans are an easy target. Their inhabitants in RuneScape is now a bit of a meme locally and this brings even more attention to them specifically."
