I'm convinced this isn't a very popular view, but I truly believe RS would heavily gain from OSRS gold scrapping old, outdated content like they did with mobilizing armies. Tbh a great deal of 5th era quests haven't made much sense and feel quite weird to do after EoC was released. This is such a good idea. There's so much 10 year-old dead content and even when we took all of it outside the game could still be HUGE.
It's not just this. It is also the simple fact that the ordinary RS3 upgrade is larger in size than the ordinary OSRS update. There is nothing as big in OSRS as Invention or Archaeology. Many small upgrades are easier to create than many large updates. You better release it or this means nothing. Mod Ryan was working on a Con upgrade and it got scrapped after good progress was made, don't have any expectation of this one coming through. Betcha it will get shelved like all other excellent updates but we'll still get mtx shoved in our faces as per usual.
And we'll hear nothing about that for months afterward it will be quietly cancelled like the number of other numerous pieces of content. Your announcements have no integrity left. You just say whatever you believe will lessen the backlash at the time with no intention of really putting the campaign in. You're just milking what is left of the match with hardly any work. Your laziness is reaching impressive depths even for you, Dave.
This year we'll get: September mystery anniversary upgraded, A new high end boss, Orthen dig website, A new construction contract fashion instruction system, Skill off-hands of a sort for a reward from one of the updates this season, A new quest. Your article would have been more relevant if you'd posted this until the Q&A told us what we're getting for the remainder of the year.
Oh, I'm sure these are all definitely coming out this year exactly like the Managing Miscallania rework, expert rework and quest teams, Elder God Wars dungeon, City of Sennisten quest and Azzanadra quest that they promised. Or the weather method they promised or Raids 2 or the 2016 Mining and cheap RS gold Smithing rework or any of the many other broken promises that they made. We should just blindly assume the business that took until July to release a fourth update this season and has a very long history of broken promises is completely going to do all that stuff.
