Additionally, it is good that Blizzard continues to admire classic gold and spirit of the Classic servers. The feeling of the 2004 servers would be gone if all of a sudden a gnome goes sprinting by to a rat. Maintaining the mounts and all other cosmetic items loyal to the servers for Classic is a fantastic showing by Blizzard to keep these Classic servers in which the fans need them. Considering how simple (and probably tempting) it might be for Blizzard to turn a few bucks around by incorporating the Battle for Azeroth microtransactions into the Classic servers, it's good to see them making the proper choice.
World of Warcraft also has been falling a bit from the public eye -- or Battle for Azeroth has. While Classic continues to flourish with the introduction of raids and other Vanilla content, Battle for Azeroth has apparently ended their 8.3 storyline with a few plot points that much of the fanbase is discovering underwhelming. Players have expressed discontent that the threat of an Old God has been relegated to one patch's content.
Can a flying rat bracket fix the composing at Blizzard headquarters? There is a fairly good bet that it won't, but maybe players will have the ability to take it a bit more in stride when they're passing over Orgrimmar on the back of a giant rat.
