Unlikely in 2020. We pitched quite lots OSRS gold of stuff in the last RuneFest. Additionally, considering that we had launched two raiding dungeons in under 18 months, both taking up a good deal of the team's time, and there are gamers that need other sorts of content too, it feels appropriate to have a major gap in front of a next one. But ideas are being assembled for one, even though we're not likely to begin development for months yet.We definitely want to do another one! We have been spitballing a few ideas lately but we are still very much in the ideation stage.I think a 3rd raid is unavoidable, but id like to what a while before it happens. I think that the two came than they had to. Especially when content like rewards are normally needed by that.
One of our challenges is that we're a branch of RuneScape. Old School RuneScape launched in Feb 2013, as a relaunch of the August 2007 build of RuneScape. RuneScape has naturally continued growth also, and has introduced many quests throughout that time, which include to complete storylines that are pristine in Old School. When we would like to take those quests ahead, we don't want to simply re-release the exact same quest (and it wouldn't be trivial to simply'copy and paste' it anyway). We do not need to contradict the narrative, but want to create something fresh so that we offer something which players will still find refreshing, if they have already played in RuneScape. The same key defeats to the narrative still occur, the same characters die, there's still the exact same overall result etc..
Mostly we'd aim for a new quest to feel as though something which will excite players (e.g. continuing an iconic storyline like Ed's performed with elves & vampyres) or present an area as part of a longer-term plan (e.g. the Corsair pursuit ). We largely aim to keep the form of our stories similar to what RS3 did, e.g. the Way The Taste of Hope is reminiscent of topics RS3 coated in Legacy of Seergaze, but without trying to be a copy of the quest. So it may still feel as though we're both RuneScape, but not restricted by fine details. Notably, some Zulrah content describes passing to a gnome city in the east of the region, i.e. Arposandra is there, even when we've not researched it.
Would you consider the launching of OSRS mobile to buy RuneScape gold for a success? Can you compete in such a crowded app market to people who might have never heard of this game? Brought in a lot of players, a lot of whom have stayed a fantastic thing. Though there's more we'd like to improve still we've done various feedback jobs to aid with the problems. Helpfully, RuneScape is a large title in itself so many players have played over so many years, therefore that it helped it to stand out. Plus it did seem rather nice!
